On the eve of Defender of the Fatherland Day and the 78th anniversary of the Victory Day, a patriotic campaign "The People and the Army are United!" was held at the Military Department of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. During the campaign, meetings with veterans of the Armed Forces, military-historical quizzes, excursions to memorable places of Almaty and lectures  on the history of Kazakhstan were held. Thematic events are held not only with students studying at the military department, but also with schoolchildren of the city.

As part of the patriotic campaign, students of the military department held a lecture with students of the physics and mathematics school "Tamos Education". In the assembly hall of the school students acting as moderators of the lecture hall presented the heroes of the Kazakh steppe, told about the heroes of the Great Patriotic War, about the history and formation of the Kazakh army. The lecture ended with a joint performance by students and schoolchildren of the song composition "Golden Eagle in the Sky!"

Summing up the results of the event, the deputy director of the school Naila Tekina, expressed her deep gratitude to the staff and the head of the Military Department of the Al-Farabi KazNU, Reserve Colonel Azhimov O.V. for active military patronage activities and expressed confidence in further cooperation in the education of real patriots of Kazakhstan!
