CHINA UNIVERSITY OF PETROLEUM IS READY TO COOPERATE WITH KAZNU

Chairman of the Management Board - Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev held a meeting with Director General of CNPC in Central Asia and Russia Bian Dezhi. Proposals on bilateral cooperation were discussed at the meeting.

Rector acquainted the guest of honor with the achievements of the university and noted the systematic establishment of partnerships with Chinese universities:

"Al-Farabi Kazakh National University pays special attention to science. To date, the university's scientists have developed 100 innovative projects. Currently, work is underway to promote and commercialize scientific projects. There are certification centers, institutes and academies of high-tech companies Samsung, Hewlett-Packard, Cisco, Copisa Minolta, Fujitsu, Alcatel, Microsoft, Kaspersky Lab, Huawei at the KazNU campus. Now the university cooperates with 43 universities of the People's Republic of China. The university has a Department of Chinese Studies and a Confucius Institute," the rector stated. At the end of his speech, Zhanseit Tuimebayev presented the guest of honor with the book "100 innovative projects of KazNU" and offered to open an office of CNPC on the premises of the university.

In turn, Mr. Bian Zhi thanked for the warm welcome and expressed his proposal: "Al-Farabi KazNU is a leader university in Kazakhstan. In the future, we maintain close relations with KazNU and are ready to build up partnership. In addition, China University of Petroleum is ready to cooperate with KazNU. This university is one of the leading universities in China for training specialists in the oil industry. The partnership between the two universities will contribute to the joint training of personnel and the implementation of a double–degree education program," Bian Dezhi said.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed on the systematic implementation of these proposals.
