The President was presented with the results of the year's work and plans for the further development of the university. The KazNU Rector briefed the Head of State on the progress of the educational process, scientific research and international achievements of the university's scientists.

During the meeting Zhanseit Tuimebayev submitted to the President proposals aimed at improving the efficiency of research projects and human resources, as well as reconstruction of the campus of KazNU on the threshold of the 90th anniversary of the institution. By 2024, the university plans to launch more than 650 projects in the most promising areas of the country's scientific and technological development, he said. The rector said the results of the projects will be transformed into the real economy through the creation of about 20 spin-off companies.

Zhanseit Tuimebayev also dwelt on the problems of the university that have accumulated over the years and expressed his proposals to solve them. In particular, he spoke about the high level of depreciation of the dormitories and academic buildings and the fact that more than 2,000 teachers and employees need housing.
At the end of the meeting, the Head of State expressed his support for the proposals made by the head of the educational establishment, stressing the need to radically improve the quality of education and increase the contribution of science to the socio-economic development of the country.
