Today, a citywide subbotnik was held in Almaty. The staff of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University also took an active part in the cleanliness campaign.

The entire faculty, staff and students of the university cleared the territory of KazNU, as well as the area adjacent to it, from debris. In addition, university staff whitewashed the trees and loosened their soil, painted the fences, benches, and trash bins.

About 10 pieces of equipment were involved in the subbotnik.

It should be noted that the subbotnik was organized as part of the republican action "Birge - taza Qazaqstan". More than 2,000 public utilities workers took part in the citywide subbotnik and more than 400 units of special equipment were involved. Cleaning work began at 9:00 am and lasted until 12:00 pm.
