Al-Farabi Kazakh National University was visited by the State Secretary of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazakh statesman and political figure, diplomat Krymbek Kusherbayev. During his working visit, the Secretary of State held a meeting with youth representatives on the topic "Prospects for the development of the creative industry."

The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yeraly Tugzhanov, Vice Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kuanysh Yergaliev, Vice Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alisher Abdykadyrov, Deputy Akim of Almaty Yerzhan Babakumarov, faculty of the university, young scientists and students.

Opening the event, State Secretary Krymbek Kusherbayev made a welcoming speech. In his speech, he focused on the work done in accordance with the instructions of the Head of State Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev to develop the creative industry.

“In accordance with the instructions of the Head of State, we have already begun work in this direction. The government has set up a project office for the development of the creative industry. Last month, the Concept for the Development of the Creative Industry for 2021-2025 was adopted. In accordance with this, it is planned to create business incubators, centers and hubs in the cities of Nur-Sultan, Almaty and Shymkent. I believe that the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University should become the basis for the business incubator being created in Almaty. The higher educational institution has all the possibilities for this. In general, the environment that generates creative ideas in any society is universities, universities and students studying there, young scientists. In this context, the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is a leader, ”Krymbek Kusherbayev noted.

Also, the State Secretary of the Republic of Kazakhstan noted the need to train competitive specialists for the development of the creative industry.

During the conversation, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yeraly Tugzhanov noted that for the development of the creative industry it is necessary to approve a specific plan and work in this direction.

“We need to start working on the development of the creative industry. In the near future, together with the Ministry of Economy, we will hold a meeting on this topic. Deputy akims of all regions will take part in it. If you have any suggestions, the Government is ready to listen to you, "Yeraly Tugzhanov emphasized.

Chairman of the Board - Rector of Al-Farabi KazNU Zhanseit Tuymebaev, welcoming the honored guests, expressed gratitude for the support and assistance in the development of the creative industry. The head of the university noted that today's meeting is of great importance, especially for our talented youth.

“The future of the country is in the hands of competitive and educated youth. Today our young scientists, talented artists represent our country at the international level. The creative industry is one of the fastest growing segments of the global economy. Over the past decade, the creative industries have profoundly influenced the social and cultural aspects of society. The purpose of today's meeting is to increase the civic responsibility of youth by combining innovations and creativity, ”the rector emphasized.

The meeting was held in the format of an open dialogue. An exchange of views took place between the participants. Representatives of young people asked their questions and put forward new ideas for the development of the creative industry in Kazakhstan.

In turn, the 1st year doctoral student of the Faculty of Law Akerke Zhakysh noted that legal protection and economic support for the intellectual property of young talents who use creative technologies are needed.

“For these purposes, we believe it is possible to create a development fund for creative industries and apply certain incentives in investment and financial policy, taxation, import and export. We also propose to develop new educational programs for training young talents who contribute to the development of creative industries, - said Akerke Zhakysh.

At the end of the event, Krymbek Kusherbayev and prominent statesmen examined the scientific and educational exhibition and got acquainted with the activities of the university.

In addition, the presentation of the main research results in the field of the creative heritage of Abay Kunanbayuly took place within the framework of events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In particular, such works as "The Code of Humanity of Abay", "Abay Studies. Selected Works "- 50 volumes," Anthology of Abay Studies "10 volumes, Intellectual e-resources base of the Kazakh National University" Abaytanu anthologies ", Editions according to the series" Abay institute of enbekteri ", which were prepared by scientists of the Kazakh National University.
