In Kazakhstan, educational grants for admission to universities will be distributed before the start of the new calendar year. The competition among universities for the placement of state orders starts on November 29, 2021. When changing the timing of the placement of educational grants, the interests of both applicants and higher educational institutions were taken into account.

Now applicants will be informed much earlier about which universities and for which specialties the grants are allocated. And universities will be able to plan in advance the work of admissions campaigns.

Earlier, the competition for placing a state educational order for training personnel in organizations of higher and postgraduate education, as well as for preparatory departments, was announced in May-June, that is, shortly before the start of accepting documents for an educational grant. The commission for the distribution of state orders among universities was also created in April-May.

Now, the competition for placing a state order for the 2022-2023 academic year in terms of groups of educational programs will be held from November 29 to December 3 this year.

“When making such decisions, first of all, we take into account the interests of our entrants. Now applicants will be able to decide in advance on the choice of university and specialty. That is, already before passing the UNT, applicants will know which universities and for which specialties educational grants have been allocated. We will continue to make decisions aimed at creating more comfortable conditions for applicants, ”said Vice Minister of Education and Science Kuanysh Yergaliyev.

State orders in universities will be placed at all levels of education - bachelor's, master's and doctoral studies.
