Vice Minister of Information and Social Development Kemelbek Oyshybaev stressed that Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, participating in the media forum of the Turkic Council, this year celebrate the 30th anniversary of their independence, and Kazakhstan has achieved significant success, becoming a sovereign state. The vice minister elaborated on the measures that need to be taken to further strengthen cooperation in the media market of the Turkic-speaking states. The point was that the TV channels had the opportunity to exchange experience with each other.

“The first media forum of the Turkic Council is an old dream that has finally been realized. In 2019, the leaders of the Turkic-speaking states adopted a resolution deciding to hold a media forum in Turkey. But due to the pandemic, the Nagorno-Karabakh war in the Azerbaijan region, the event was postponed.

At the forum, scientists, representatives of the media, the art world shared their views, including President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Ersink Tatar, Deputy President of Azerbaijan Hikmet Hadzhiev, Chairman of the Communications Department of the Office of the President of the Turkish Republic Fahriddin Altyn, and others.

Also, within the framework of the forum, a meeting was held with the director of the film Akan Sataev and actress Almira Tursyn, who played the main character Tomiris. " The film was translated from Kazakh into Turkish by Ufuk Tuzman, an employee of the Kazakh language of the state television and radio corporation TRT in Ankara. In the near future, the film "Tomiris" will be broadcasted on the state Turkish television channel TRT.

The forum discussed the possibilities of developing cooperation in the field of the film industry and the media, as well as a joint fight against disinformation, including in social networks. Hungary participates in the work of the Turkic Council as an observer.

“The Hungarian people are representatives of the Turkic world. The nomadic people, who coexisted with the Turks for many centuries, migrated and settled in the center of Europe. For a while, our unity was interrupted. Now work is underway to revive and restore the old unity. We all support this policy as much as possible, ”said David Somfay Kara, senior researcher at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Turkic scholar.

“Kipchaks have been living in Hungary since the 13th century. The Kazakhs also have the Kypchak clan. Unfortunately, the Kypchak language is forgotten in Hungary. There are three languages that are closest to the language of our ancestors: Kazakh, Karakalpak and Nogai. We would understand each other very well. As for the unity of the Turkic peoples, I hope that the Kypchaks in Hungary will also be able to learn the language of their ancestors from the Kazakhs, ”a professor at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, critic, scientist Dandai Yskakuly expressed his opinion within the framework of the media forum.
