Chairman of the Board - Rector of Al-Farabi KazNU Zhanseit Tuimebayev met with a member of the Board of Directors, head of Astana Group Nurlan Smagulov, a university graduate who graduated from the university in 1990.

The visit of the honored guest began with an acquaintance with the exposition of the KazNU museum, dedicated to the history of the university. Nurlan Smagulov graduated from the Faculty of Biology with a degree in biology and chemistry. A domestic entrepreneur suggested opening an exposition in the museum dedicated to the history of faculties, which would include the most interesting photographs, manuscripts and valuable archival data.

At the meeting, rector Zhanseit Tuimebayev spoke about the activities and plans of the university, new programs of scientific research and technical development.

Nurlan Smagulov visited the hostels, in which the planned overhaul was made, as well as the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, scientific laboratories, where experiments are carried out by young scientists and students.

During the meeting, the issue of providing students with housing was also discussed. The Chairman of the Board said that the housing issue is being actively resolved, the university has developed a program for the development of the university, which provides for the construction of new dormitories and the reconstruction of existing buildings.

During the meeting, plans for further cooperation between the university and Astana Group were discussed.
