According to the results of the international competition "University of the Year - 2021" held by the Canadian Committee for the Study of International Achievements and the Regional Center for Eastern Europe and Asia (International Achievements Research Center), Al-Farabi KazNU was recognized as the winner. In a letter from the director of the competition, Dr. Michael Finnen, it was noted that the university received an international certificate in the category "Management and Leadership" for outstanding achievements in education and science.

This competition is based on research and ongoing monitoring, content analysis of media and Internet sources, as well as recommendations of colleagues from universities, research and educational centers, independent scientists, researchers and teachers. The international competition provides higher education institutions with an opportunity to demonstrate their achievements to the world community.

For the first time participating and taking an honorable place in this competition, Al-Farabi KazNU demonstrated a bright and confident victory, high academic competitiveness, attractiveness of the university and results in strengthening strategic partnership in the global educational space.
