GRADUATES DAY DISCUSSED

Chairman of the Constitutional Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan, President of the Al-Farabi KazNU Alumni Association, Doctor of Law, Professor Kairat Abdrazakuly Mami and Deputy Executive Director of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Igor Ivanovich Rogov visited the university and discussed with the rector Zhanseit Tuimebayev issues of organizing and holding the KazNU Alumni Day named after al-Farabi.

This year, the Alumni Association plans to hold Alumni Day on May 29, offline. Depending on the epidemiological situation in the country, meetings at faculties and departments will be held, like last year, online on the ZOOM platform. This year, Graduates Day will be dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Discussing the preparation and holding of a university-wide holiday - the Day of al-Farabi KazNU alumni, Kairat Mami proposed to publish the book “Contribution of al-Farabi KazNU to the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan”. This idea was supported by the rector of KazNU Zh. Tuimebayev and a member of the Presidium of the Alumni Association, Doctor of Law n. Professor Igor Rogov.

At the end of the meeting, eminent graduates of KazNU presented the university with the book "Formation and development of modern Kazakhstani statehood", which was published by the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan-Elbasy.
