For the first time in Kazakhstan, the «Huawei» Academy of Infocommunication Technologies, which operates under the auspices of Al-Farabi KazNU, jointly with «Huawei» ICT Solutions Kazakhstan, is holding a competition aimed at supporting young talents and future leaders of the IT industry.

The main purpose of the competition is to support innovative initiatives of students of secondary, special and higher educational institutions aimed at solving socially significant problems with the application of modern technologies, increasing interest in the information and communication environment as a tool for solving real problems facing society.

The competition is held jointly with the leading global company «Huawei», which is the general sponsor of the project.

The competition is held in 3 stages:

1st stage – acceptance of applications from 5 to 15 November. Applicants wishing to take part in the competition should fill in and send an application with a description of the proposed project at http://forms.gle/aP4PQaFSV686aQGc6.

Stage 2 – a video presentation of the project will be held from 16 to 22 November. A special committee selects the most relevant and innovative ideas from the registered list. Participants who have passed the 2nd stage will be notified by email or phone number specified in the application. Participants must record a video presentation of their project with a detailed description of the idea and the expected result.

Stage 3 – summing up will take place from 23 to 26 November.

Based on the video material, the Competition Committee will select 10 finalists. They will need to prepare and present a detailed presentation at the final ZOOM meeting on 26 November, and they will need to convince the jury members why their idea should be implemented.

All 10 finalists will receive memorable prizes from Huawei, and the winners will receive a grant for their own projects (1st place – 1 million tenge, 2nd and 3rd places – 500 thousand tenge).

The Competition, which is organised by KazNU jointly with «Huawei», is a great chance to present one’s idea and become a grant holder and receive support from experienced specialists for its implementation!
