Al-Farabi Kazakh National University was visited by Stefan Buchmaier, head of the GIZ regional program "Preventing Violent Extremism in Central Asia". During the meeting, the issues of mutual beneficial scientific cooperation within the framework of a common project were discussed.

The International scientific-practical conference "Thirty years of foreign policy and diplomacy of sovereign Kazakhstan: achievements, challenges, and prospects" started at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted a leadership lecture by Nurlan Bayuzakovich Yermekbayev, Kazakhstan's Minister of Defence (2018-2021), Lieutenant General, Ambassador Extraordinary, and Plenipotentiary. He spoke on "Kazakhstan's Military Security Policy".

Chairman of the Board - Rector of Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi Zhanseit Tuimebayev held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to the Republic of Kazakhstan Otto Ivan Ron and Consul General of Hungary in Almaty Ferenc Blaumann.During the meeting the parties discussed issues of further cooperation and expansion of strategic partnership between KazNU and Hungarian universities.  

The military department of "Al-Farabi Kazakh National University" jointly with the University Museum held lesson of courage and recitation competition, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi hosted a leadership lecture by Amandyk Batalov, a statesman and political figure, ex-akim of Almaty region on "Education of leadership qualities and patriotic feelings among youth". 

Space exploration and the development of space technology represent an entirely new and highly specific area of human activity. The space activities of States affect the interests of virtually all countries owing to their global nature. Outer space differs from land, sea, and airspace in that it cannot be divided into zones during its use by States. While in flight, spacecraft inevitably pass through all layers of outer space as they move away from Earth and orbit over many different national territories. This happens both because of the laws of space flight itself and because of the Earth's rotation around its own axis.

Monitoring the state of the track, facilities and repair work requires the creation of reference systems for monitoring the plan and profile of the track on the country's railways. Employees of the Center for Space Research and Remote Sensing of the Earth of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University offer their services to railway workers - the creation of an electronic map based on space images of medium spatial resolution, a database of communications and a geoportal of railway communications.

Al-Farabi KazNU hosted the closing ceremony of the 1st International Farabi Forum, at which the results of a large-scale event were summed up, and the winners of the competitions “The Best Young Scientist of KazNU” and innovative projects of student business incubators were awarded.

At the Department of Health Policy and Organization, the next tournament "Science Ring" was held on the topic: "Posthumous donation: pros and cons" among 1st year undergraduates in the specialty "Medicine (researcher)". The theme of this tournament was not chosen by chance. Unfortunately, in a number of severe cases of chronic diseases at the stage of decompensation, organ transplantation is the only radical method of prolonging human life and restoring its quality.
