Researcher in the field of Turkic-Slavic language interaction. The content of works in this area is determined by the Turco-Slavica problems, the study and description of which formed the basis of scientific research, reflected in such significant works as: "Turco-Slavica: Language, Ethnos, Culture in a Common Space" (Astana, 2011); "Turkic languages in the Eurasian space: current state, trends and prospects" (Astana, 2012); "Turkic languages and ethnicities: linguistic and ethno-demographic processes (Astana, 2015); "History of World Turkology" (Almaty, 2016), as well as a number of scientific publications on Turkisms in the Russian language, language contacts.

 

Currently, together with a group of scientists from the Research Institute of Turkology and Altaic Studies of KazNU on the basis of the Institute of Linguistics named after A. Baitursynov, is implementing the project "Study of artistic-defining system, "formulaic stylistics" and grammar of Zhyrau poetry of XV-XVIII centuries. Frequency dictionary" (under the Programme of grant financing of scientific and scientific-technical projects for 2021-2023 of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, IRNAP09261377).
