The first working meeting of UNESCO Chairs of Kazakhstan

On October 17, 2022, the teaching staff of the UNESCO Department for Sustainable Development took part in the I-th workshop of UNESCO Departments of Kazakhstan on the topic: "UNESCO Family of Education and Science in Kazakhstan", which was held at the Kazakh-German University. The event was attended by: I. Nishanyan, Head of the UNESCO Chairs Program for the World (online, Paris), A. Baysabayeva, Secretary General of the National Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan for UNESCO, M. Magnusson, Director of the UNESCO Cluster Bureau (online), Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany V. Faust, Deputy Chairman of the National Committee of the National Assembly R.R. Muzafarov and others.

The issue of organizing a platform for the exchange of experience between UNESCO departments and centers was discussed. All UNESCO chairs of Kazakhstan made reports on their activities. The head of the UNESCO Department for Sustainable Development Bazarbayeva T.A. presented the areas of work of the department, the main successful projects, familiarized with the activities planned for 2022-2023. The seminar participants expressed a common desire to organize effective cooperation with UNESCO chairs in the Central Asian region and around the world.
