UNESCO chair in sustainable development of the faculty of geography and environmental sciences of al-Farabi Kazakh national University held an online meeting dedicated to the «day of graduates of KazNU», dedicated to the 1150th anniversary of the birth of Abu Nasr al-Farabi.
At al-Farabi Kazakh national University this year's Annual day of graduates is special for UNESCO Chair in sustainable development.
Firstly, a solemn event for all graduates of KazNU, dedicated to the 1150th anniversary of Abu Nasir al-Farabi, and secondly, the 5th anniversary of the first graduates of the chair who graduated in 2015.
The program was attended by all leading professors, teachers and research staff of chair, the first graduates of 2015 in the specialty «Ecology» and «Safety of Human Life and Protection of Environment», as well as students, total 27 people.
At the opening of the event, the rector of al-Farabi KazNU, academician Galymkair Mutanovich Mutanov and the Chairman of the Constitutional Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan, President of the al-Farabi KazNU alumni Association,
doctor of law, Professor Graduated from the law faculty of KazSU in 1981 Kairat Abdrazakuly Mami made welcoming speeches.
Then the head of the chair Bazarbaeva Tursynkul Amangeldiyevna made a presentation about the achievements of the University and UNESCO chair in Sustainable Development. Tursunkul Amangeldievna thanked all the graduates of the Chair for participation in this event, for videos «Thanks to teachers» and «Warm greetings to teachers» and wished the graduates of the current year success.
Bergeneva Nurgul Sagievna, the founder of the specialty «Safety of Human Life and Protection of Environment», who received another congratulatory speech, said that the graduates of our faculty are now working in all areas, and asked graduates to establish close ties with students of the chair, to help maintain and improve the quality of their professional practice.
During the online meeting, the first graduates of the UNESCO chair in SD made a speech, ecologist of «Tengizchevroil» LLP Seitmaganbetova Gulzara, chief specialist of the Department of Ecology in Mangystau region Utegenova Aidana, chief specialist of the Department of subsoil use and water resources, Department of natural resources and environmental regulation in Atyrau region – Karimkyzy Gakku, specialist in the field of green technologies of KazNU Aidarkhanuly Serikhan. They stressed that the obtained knowledge was practically very useful, and noted that the knowledge of our University is at a high level.
At the online meeting, all participants shared their wishes, opinions, suggestions and concluded the event with the song «Armandastar».
