On April 26-27, 2021, ENU hosted the second stage of the XIII Republican Subject Olympiad of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the direction of "Standardization and Certification". The Olympiad was attended by 30 students from 11 universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Teams represented 8 cities of Kazakhstan:

The Republican Subject Olympiad is aimed at improving the quality of training of specialists, interest in research work, promoting the formation of the intellectual potential of students, selecting and supporting the most talented and gifted students.

The winners of the XIII Republican Subject Olympiad of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the direction of "Standardization and Certification" are:

1st place - Uskembekova Aruzhan Kairatovna (Karaganda State Technical University, Karaganda)

II place - Tustekpayeva Saida Kairbekovna (Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi, Almaty).

II place - Olesya Aleksandrovna Shikaeva (Karaganda State Technical University, Karaganda)

III place - Niyazbek Aidana Sakenkyzy (M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University, Shymkent)

III place - Musainova Madina Zhomartovna (Kazakh Agrotechnical University named after S. Seifullin, Nur-Sultan)

III place - Orakbaeva Ainur Oralbaykyzy (Taraz Regional University M.Kh.Dulati, Taraz)

The main advantages of the innovative product are low market value, the lighting power is three times stronger than that of a conventional lamp.

An unusual lamp was created at the Scientific Research Institute of Experimental and Theoretical Physics at KazNU.

In the period from 15 to 24 March, the International Online School "Digital Technologies in Energy and Industry XXI" was held at the National Research University "MPEI".

The school was organized by the Department of Security and Information Technology on the Zoom platform with the support of the Office of External Relations. Leading professors, associate professors and teachers of the department, Krepkov Igor Mikhailovich, Minzov Anatoly Stepanovich, Merenkov Dmitry Valerievich, Eremeev Aleksey Aleksandrovich, Ryzhikov Sergey Sergeevich, Petrov Sergey Andreevich, Kulik Irina Aleksandrovna delivered daily classes in the form of lectures, master classes, and practical exercises. Students of the school were from of various engineering specialties of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, occupying the top positions in international rankings among universities in Kazakhstan, as well as students of the NRU "MPEI". During  classes, participants of the online school got acquainted with the stages and modern trends of digitalization, plunged into topics such as "Development of information systems and technologies for modern energy and industry" and "Information and analytical security." 

Scientists, tutors and engineers of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University have developed and commissioned a small-scale production of an innovative hardware and software complex for the study of electrical and magnetism phenomena in physics courses at hish and colleges.

Senior Lecturer of the Department of Thermophysics and Technical Physics of Al-Farabi KazNU, Ph.D. R.K. Manatbaev has been announced the winner of the competition of the fund "Assyltas" -2021 in the nomination "Science". R.K. Manatbaev is a holder of 3 patents and over 120 scientific publications in the field of wind energy power generation. The fund is funded by the institutions that are part of the TAS Group. The main mission and goal of the "Assyltas" foundation is to increase the potential of talented citizens, to familiarize citizens with innovations, to promote the dissemination of the Kazakh language among broad public and business communities by providing charity and popularizing national values.
