During the round table, the most topical issues of Abai studies, the priceless spiritual and philosophical heritage of Abai, the role and significance of Abai's teaching about man and the spiritual values of society were discussed. President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in his program article "Abai and Kazakhstan in the XX1 century" defined new tasks of modern humanities and every citizen of Kazakhstan society – "each of us needs to know himself and present to the world the main values of the Kazakh people through the promotion and study of the heritage of the great Abai".
In the center of Abayev's spiritual quest is a radical renewal of the world and man, the search for new values and landmarks that can awaken the creative forces of man, morally elevate him, encourage him to communicate with other cultural worlds. The revival of a genuine interest in one's own philosophical and spiritual origins strengthens national identity, national identity and the unity of the people. Abai's idea that the nation should consolidate and develop its internal mechanisms of competitiveness is the main issue of our time.
The round table was opened with an introductory speech by the Director of the FSDI Institute, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor Bizhanov Akhan Khusainovich. The main presentations at the round table were made by: leading specialists and scientists of the Institute of Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies and the Institute of Literature and Art of the M. O. Auezov KN MES RK; teachers of the al-Farabi Kazakh National University, PhD doctoral students, undergraduates and other specialists.
In connection with the introduction of quarantine, the round table was held in an online format.
