It's no secret that chess is one of the oldest board games. The game develops logic, memory, concentration of attention, character development, the development of purposefulness, systems thinking, etc. For this reason, since 2018, the “Chess” lesson has been introduced at the Profile School.

On December 14, 2020 at the Profile School of the al-Farabi KazNU held a team tournament among students dedicated to the Independence Day. During the game, the following students turned out to be the best: 1st place: 10 V (Ibraikhan Ruslan, Asylbek Erkin, Kaysarbek Kosnizhan and Taipov Amir - reserve player) 2nd place: 9 B (Zeinelgabyl Ersalim, Shaimardinov Almaz and Zhalkas Akbota) 3rd place: Ukim Adi, Yerzhan Alizhan and Temir Azhar)
