The XXVII International Symposium of Morphological Sciences ISMS 2021 "Cell, tissue, organs - experience, innovation and progress" will be held in KazNU named after Al-Farabi from May 27-31 for the first time in the CIS. The organizer of the large-scale event was the Faculty of Medicine and Healthcare, the Higher School of Medicine, the Department of Fundamental Medicine of Al-Farabi KazNU and the "Eurasian Organization of Morphologists".

         ISMS-2021 is a platform for broadcasting the latest achievements of medical science, based on accurate morphological evidence of research.

More than 2000 scientists from Kazakhstan, as well as from near and far abroad will take part in the scientific online conference. A broad broadcast of world scientific achievements will be held in 10 sections in various scientific areas.

For the first time within the framework of the congress, a round table "BODY DONATION: A GLOBAL PERSPERCTIVE IN A ROUND TABLE DISCUSSION" will be held on the donation of cadaveric material for educational purposes in medical universities. Morphologists from different countries and continents will present their experience, problems and solutions.

         The program of the congress will include a unique master class of the International Federation of Anatomical Associations "Workshop on scientific writing" http://isms2020.kz/index.php/workshop-form In addition, there will be a section of young scientists, a competition of reports. The best presentation will be awarded a prize (100 €). Poster sections will be held online in various thematic areas.

         It should be noted that the first symposium was held in 1971 in Mexico. On June 5, 2018, at the XXVI Symposium in Prague, the decision was unanimously adopted to hold the next ISMS-2020 event in the Republic of Kazakhstan. However, due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, it was decided to postpone the symposium to May 2021.

           ISMS-2021 is a new way for scientists to collaborate in the current situation, search for new methods and generate ideas.

At the end of the congress, a meeting of the committee of the International Symposium of Morphological Sciences will be held, where a decision will be made to hold the next congress ISMS 2023. At the closing ceremony, the flag and seal of the congress will be solemnly handed over to the president of the next congress.
