Digital city twin in the service of territorial management

The 5th International Conference on the Eurasian Spatial Data Infrastructure will be held in Almaty on September 24, 2019.

The conference is aimed at meeting a wide range of experts to discuss current issues in the field of geodesy, digital cartography and geographic information systems.

The conference will bring together experts from a number of countries near and far abroad. Representatives from South Korea will talk about the experience of using geographic information systems in the development of their e-government.

At the conference, the solution developed by the Skolkovo resident company will be demonstrated. The project began its development in 2012, and today it is a full-fledged digital twin of the city of Moscow, which is evolving in parallel with the development of the city. This is a unique solution that allows to manage the property of one of the largest cities in the world. Specialists managed to combine realistic models with databases on urban property.

The experience of neighboring countries is interesting. At the conference, experts will talk about the development of spatial data infrastructures in Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, and will share their experience in developing the cadastre and real estate registration in Belarus.

Kazakhstan companies plan to demonstrate successfully implemented regional geoportals, talk about the experience of using unmanned aerial vehicles in the field of cartography and geodesy, and show high-quality 3D surveys.

Representatives of relevant ministries, government bodies and organizations are invited to the conference, who will be shown modern solutions, experience and best practices in the field of geodesy and cartography, land management and GIS.

The organizers were the community "Union of Surveyors of Kazakhstan" and Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, which today are actively developing ways to introduce modern technologies in the field of spatial data.
