Within the framework of the International Farabi Readings, the journalism faculty of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, UNESCO Department of Journalism and Communication with the support of the UNESCO Cluster Office in Almaty, hold the III International Scientific and Practical Conference "Models of teaching international journalism for sustainable development" (MTIJ ). The conference is intended to become a quality scientific platform for achieving high standards of education and organizing interaction between the scientific community of different countries and international organizations for sustainable development.

Fitness School «FitnessPRO» together with the medical faculty of the Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi, 5-8 April 2017 is organizing the International Congress of Fitness (International Fitness PRO Congress).

On April 11, 2018 at 10.00 on the faculty of journalism of KazNU named after al-Farabi (T. Kozhakeyev assembly hall, room No. 230) a scientific forum of students and young scientists "Young correspondents" is held in the framework of the V Kozhakeev readings on the days of the international conference "Farabi alemi".

March 31, 2018 at 14.00 in the Assembly hall of the building of the academic building - 4 (39/47, Masanchi street, corner of Bogenbai Batyr street) will be held a festive event "Welcome Nauryz!" organized by the Faculty of Pre-university Education and Confucius Institute of al-Farabi Kazakh National University with the support of the Consulate General of China in Kazakhstan.

21^st Meeting of COMSATS Coordinating Council is to be held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University on April 3 to 13. The meeting is organized in joint cooperation of Al-Farabi KazNU and the Commission on Science and Technology for Sustainable Development in the South «COMSATS».

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University holds V International Farabi Readings 3-13 April, 2018. A tradition to hold the Readings, which are an open platform for discussion on scientific, political and social problems in various areas of the development of society, was established in 2014.

Within the framework of the 5th Jubilee International Farabiev Readings, the International Scientific and Practical Conference "DIGITAL LAW: SPECIFICATION OF THE KAZAKHSTAN MODEL AND NEW DEVELOPMENT DIRECTIONS" is held.

Within the framework of the V international Farabi readings, the European information center holds the international scientific and practical conference "cooperation of Kazakhstan and the EU: modern trends and prospects", dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and the EU and the 20th anniversary of the European information center at Al-Farabi KazNU.

It will be held the X Republican student subject Olympiad in the majors: "State and local administration", "Management" and "Marketing" on the topic: “Innovative idea is the way to success!” on March 29, 2018 in Almaty. The organizer is the “Management and Marketing” chair of Higher School of Economics and Business, KazNU named after al-Farabi.
