The chair of sociology and social work carries out preparation on following specialties of a bachelor degree:

050905, 5В090500 – Social work

If you have chosen a specialty sociology in the limits of this program you can get acquainted with classical basis of applied science about a society, learn mechanics of social and political processes, pre-election struggle and work with voters, learn to understand the government and to participate in it, to understand the market and to be the competent manager.

HAVING RECEIVED THE GIVEN SPECIALITY, YOU REALIZE THE RECEIVED KNOWLEDGE:

• In public service (in Presidential Administration RK, in the Ministries, in Akimates);

• In a field of teaching and administrative activity;

If you have chosen a speciality social work in the limits of this program you can learn about social technologies, the help organization to socially unprotected categories of the population and methods of work with them.

General characteristic of a speciality SOCIOLOGY

The speciality 050501-sociology is entered by order №671 from 8/7/2004 (GOSO RК 03.08.054-2004), according to the Qualifier of preparation direction the bachelor degree and masters degree (the Order № 875 from 3/12/2004). There is a state license for the right of specialists preparation of series АА № 0000001 from 4/26/2004, the appendix to the license (the Order №361 from 26.04.2004г.).

The chair realizes preparation of specialists in a direction of preparation "Sociology" according to licenses № 0000001 from 4/26/2004, № 0000001 from 6/5/2004, including with the Kazakh language of training.

Since 2010 the speciality 5В050501 - "Sociology" is entered on the basis of the Order №168 from February, 3rd, 2010 of Committee with control in an education sphere and sciences of MON РК according to the Experimental educational program.

Speciality general characteristic SOCIAL WORK

The speciality 050905 «Social work» is entered by order №671 from 8/7/2004 (GOSO РК 03.08.054-2004), according to the Qualifier of preparation direction the bachelor degree and a master degree (the Order № 875 from 3/12/2004). Educational process is conducted according to State standard of education RК on a speciality «Social work» and according to the Experimental educational program (the order from February, 3rd, 2010 №168 Committees on control in an education sphere and sciences of MON РК) on which basis curricula and working programs and also typical programs in the state and Russian languages on the base and profile disciplines, which are confirmed by MES RК on a speciality «Social work» are developed.

By working out of the Experimental educational program on speciality "Sociology" and «Social work» the chair considered the maintenance of an educational component of leading foreign high schools, partners of chair of sociology and social work, in particular, by working out of the curriculum of a speciality and the catalog elective disciplines, the curricula of the Washington, Colombian Universities (USA), Edinburg University (Great Britain), the Istanbul university, Humboldt's university (Berlin, Germany), the Moscow State University of Lomonosov (Moscow, Russia) have been adapted.

The maintenance of programs corresponds to modern inquiries for preparation of highly skilled experts.
