Geography and Nature Management Faculty of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, together with the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan on 28-29 March 2014 conducts Republican Student Subject Olympiad in the specialty "5B060900 - Geography" and "5B061000 - Hydrology".

At the Geography and Nature Management Faculty of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in April will conduct the annual international conference of students and young scientists.

In the framework of Science week will be held Scientific Student Conference of Department of Meteorology and Hydrology, in which can participating students of 2-3 courses, graduates and young scientists.

At the Department acting are scientific seminar and scientific student circle "Hydrologists" and "Meteorologists". Students exhibiting a penchant for scientific work selected research topics recommended by teachers and for several years carried out independent scientific work under their supervision. Results are reported at the meetings and in the protection of the circle of student projects.
