The European Information Centre at al-Farabi Kazakh National University organized a guest lecture for students and undergraduates of the International Relations’ faculty with the chief Central Asia’s department of the European External Action Service (EEAS) – Toivo Klaar.

The lecture was devoted to the European Union's cooperation with Central Asia, including the issues of cooperation between Kazakhstan and the EU.
The meeting was attended by a Head of policy, press and information section of the EU delegation in Kazakhstan – Kamen Velichkov and the first vice-rector of KazNU – Burkitbayev M.M.

At the end of the lecture were summarized the results of students' essay contest among students from different universities of city. The theme of topic was "Kazakhstan and the European Union: myths, reality and hopes".
