Al Farabi Kazakh NationalUniversity, with 80 year traditions, is known for its remarkable achievements. Al-Farabi KazNU has been ranked among the 300 best in the world and is recognized as the leading university in Kazakhstan. A number of innovative projects as well as those aimed at spiritual enrichment are being currently implemented at AlFarabi KazNU. The “Aynalandy Nurlandyr” (Light It All Around), supervised by the KazNU’s Rector Galymkair Mutanov, is one of such projects. The essence of “Aynalandy Nurlandyr” is in its profound meaning that is to find the light in the dark and proceed for better future.

When we see each one of us as a sovereign individual, the choice that may be made is that of recognition of the resposiblities in life and of their diligent fulfilment. This fulfillment is not only an abstract concept but also the precise everyday actions and conduct: to care for the physical and psychological environment, to avoid negativity and to bring some light into the life. One’s conduct shall be that of higher ethical and esthetic nature, so that it would encourage those who are close to you to do the same.

According to Galymkair Mutanov, “Light It All Around” means that we have to cherish such personal features as dignity, goodness and humanness, fairness and honesty. One shall think about thecontribution he or she makes. The jealousy prevents us from proceeding further, one shall avoid being leguleian and bullying. While moldering good nature in our youth, we are to achieve prosperity. In doing that, in caring for our youth, we are to progress as the nation. And this is the ultimate aim of the “Aynalandy Nurlandyr” project.

There have been a series of events conducted within the “Aynalandy Nurlandar” project that evolved both student and faculty members. The Chair of Diplomatic Translation at the International Relations Department of Al Farabi KazNU held the even under the “Kairamdylyk – zhyly zhurekten” slogan that was aimed at providing aid for parentless children. The event was the opportunity for the participants to voice their concern about number of abandoned children that is increasing, about our graduate departure from kindness and compassion, about the future of the nation of Kazakhstan. Child is not born to live as an orphan and we shall not let the selfishness and nastiness prevail!

The project is an evidence, that our youth, our students are predominately compassionate and humane individuals always ready to help those in need. And what could be fulfilling than to give joy and light all around!
