The Professional Development and Engagement Centre for Almaty and Almaty oblast at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University will be conducting a seminar on Proposal Writing and Finding Funding for Research Projects as part of the Newton - Al-Farabi Partnership Programme. The one-day workshop aims to help researchers to improve their proposal writing skills to support them in engaging with both local and international audiences. The seminar will be held on the 14 March 2016 at Al-Farabi Library, conference hall 314 from 09.00 to 17.00.

In an increasingly competitive and global market, researchers and the institutions they represent need to apply for funding from national and international bodies, and understand the funds available for research and innovation.

The workshop will be attended by 20researchers from universities and research institutions in Almaty and the surrounding regions. The participants will develop proposal writing skills that they will utilize to further their research and apply for international funding. As a result, the participants’ organizations will improve the quality of research as well as international reputation and ranking.
