On November, 20, 2014, the Republican round table with international participation on theme "Educational Periodicals as a mirror of education reforms in Kazakhstan" was held. Organizers are the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science, the Department of General and ethnic pedagogy. Round table was held with the support of the national magazine "Open School" and the Faculty of Journalism of KazNU.

At the meeting presentations were made by the Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science, A.R.Masalimova, Head of the Department of Pedagogy A.K.Mynbayeva, chief editor of magazine "Open School" L.A. Popova, director of the State Children's Library named after Begalin S.K.Rayeva, PhDoctor of Bourgas Free University I.Derizhan, chief editor of the magazine "In the world of education" K.Zh.Aganina, deputy chief editor of "Bulletin of Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Kazakhstan" A.A.Bulatbayeva, director of the Center of Ethnopedagogics and Ethnopsychology K.J.Kozhakhmetova, teacher of school number 32 Z.Sh. Berdigozhina, Head of Department of print and electronic media G.S.Sultanbaeva.

An interesting exchange of opinions and a productive dialogue between the participants of the round table both in the field of improving educational periodicals, and in the field of reforming of educational system was held.
