International seminar on the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO ) on the theme: "Competitiveness and International Trade in CENTRAL ASIA REGION " was held from 10-14 December, 2013 on the basis of the Faculty of International Relations, al Farabi University.

Representatives of 13 Kazakhstani universities ( Astana, Almaty, Taldy-Kurgan, Kaskelen) and entrepreneurs of DAMU Fund participated in the training . The success of his training was predetermined relevance, reasonableness, deep and structured content, lecturers’ skills. The training program consisted of two parts: theoretical and practical. Sessions were conducted in an interactive format and all participants actively were involved. Relevant content , a favorable atmosphere, high professionalism of the participants , the possibility of dissemination workshop in Kazakhstani universities - all this has been made possible thanks to the active participation and full support of Mr. Jacek Cukrowski , Director, Institute of Capacity Development UNIDO, Roman Mogilevsky UN expert , Serik Iskakov, PhD Insitute for economic research of MEBP and other lectures.
