April 10 a grand ceremony of opening of the stand and lecture room of the first dean S.M.Kirov Kazakh State University, Professor Nikolai Kosov placed at the Physical and Technical Department.

N.Kosov is the founder of the largest in Kazakhstan scientific school to study diffusion in gases and liquids, they have created a new research direction: molecular diffusion and hydrodynamic components in gases. Proceedings of professor N.Kosov widely recognized international scientific community and published in the United States, Britain, the Netherlands and the Commonwealth of Independent States.

To students taking part in the social life of the university and the faculty were awarded 10 Kosov’s individual scholarships.

The event was attended by academic Kozhamkulov T., Vice Rector for Research-Innovation Affairs of Al-Farabi KazNU Ramazanov T., Professor Kupchishin A., Professor Issatayev S., Professor A. Askarova, Professor Drobyshev A., Vice-Rector of the Abai KazNPU Kosov V. (Son of Kosov N.), staff and students of the faculty.
