Teams of al-Farabi KazNU which formed from students of department of recreational geography and tourism, took the 2’nd and 3’rd places in traditional competitions on tourism tecknic named “Memory of friends” which held on 19-21 of October in Maloalmatinskoe gorge.

On the distances of rescue works, cliffs, crossings, prediction route competed teams of universities and professional rescuers of Republic operative-rescue department(ROSD).Team of 1’st year students’ except cups and medals, got special prize by ROSD-alpine rope. Management of Physical training and sport of Almaty’s akimat, G U ROSD MEE, Federation of sport tourism and tourist fight of Almaty were organizations of competition.

On October, 20-21th, students and teachers of chair of recreational geography and tourism (Жұмаділов А.Р., Артемьев А.М., Байбуриев Р.М.) have taken part in the organization of an annual tourist meeting «Memory of friends», around "Lesnichestvo", which located away from road to an ice skating rink of "Medeo". Students of chair have taken part in competition on tourist sports activities where in persistent struggle have won an honorable 2 and 3 place in the general command offset.
