In an academic year 2022-23 I was really happy to have in my English class two students   from Afghanistan : Reza and Mohamad. They were one of highly- motivated, very intelligent and diligent learners in my class. What I mostly liked about them was that they studied the English language with special enthusiasm and interest. One of their best qualities of their character was their special responsible and conscientious attitude to their educational activities. As a rule, when I have students from abroad I always ask them to write a story about themselves. This is Reza’s story:

I am Reza Joia from Bamian province of Afghanistan. Before coming to study in al- Farabi I was a lecturer in the Chemistry Department of the Nimruz Higher Education Institute. It was my strong desire   to further my education and continue my studies in the field of chemistry. After researching various universities across the world, I chose Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, or KazNU,for accomplishing my master degree. There were several reasons why I chose KazNU over other universities.

Firstly, KazNU is one of the best universities in the world, with a reputation for excellence in education and research. It has a highly qualified faculty and state-of-the-art facilities, which makes it an ideal place to study and conduct research.Secondly, I was fortunate to receive a scholarship through the Bologna Process to study at KazNU. This scholarship provided me with the financial support needed to pursue my master’s degree and made it possible for me to attend one of the best universities in the world.

Thirdly, I found KazNU to have a proper condition for conducting and doing research projects. As a chemistry student, research is an integral part of my education, and the facilities available at KazNU are well-suited for conducting research projects. Lastly, I chose to study in the field of analytical chemistry because it is an applicable branch of chemistry, and it aligns with my previous education. I believe that the knowledge and skills I will gain through this program will allow me to contribute to the development of new and innovative technologies, which will have a positive impact on society.

In conclusion, I ‘m really happy that KazNU has provided me with an exceptional opportunity to further my education and achieve my academic goals. The universit’s reputation for excellence, the scholarship, the research facilities available , and the applicability of the field of study has made KazNU the ideal choice for gaining my master’s degree in chemistry.
