KAZNU ESTABLISHES PARTNERSHIPS WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF GDANSK

An online meeting of representatives of the Faculty of History of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the University of Gdansk (Republic of Poland) was held, where issues of establishing partnerships between universities were discussed.

 
The meeting was attended by: Dean of the Faculty of History of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University D.S.Baigunakov, Head of the Department of History of Kazakhstan, Professor B.B.Karibayev, Head of the Department of World History, Historiography and Source Studies, Professor M.S.Myrzabekova, Head of the Department of Archeology, Ethnology and Museology PhD R.S.Zhumatayev, etc. Magdalena Novak, Zbigniew Landowski and Dmitry Panto took part in the meeting from the University of Gdansk.


During the meeting, the parties agreed on cooperation in the following areas: exchange of students based on the academic mobility program at the level of undergraduates and PhD doctoral students, implementation of double-degree education programs, development of joint educational programs in the specialties: anthropology, archeology, museum business and monument protection, history, scientific internship for the exchange of experience, implementation of international projects, cooperation with leading foreign scientists.


The participants discussed issues of joint publication of articles. The problems of implementing joint archaeological and ethnographic expeditions with the World War II Museum in Gdansk, conducting anthropological research, studying theoretical and practical work in the field of implementing modern museum expositions were also considered.


At the end of the meeting, a draft bilateral memorandum was developed and presented.
