The delegation of Osh State University headed by Rector Kudaiberdi Gaparalievich Kozhobekov visited Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The guests visited the Al-Farabi Museum, the Keremet Student Service Center, the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics and the Higher School of Economics and Business.

The Kyrgyz delegation took part in a working meeting with the heads of departments of KazNU, who informed the guests about ensuring the development of IT infrastructure and educational programs of the university. Then the delegation of Osh State University was received by Chairman of the Board-Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev.

During the negotiations, the head of KazNU told the guests about the activities of the university, key areas in educational and research work, cooperation with foreign partners. The rector of the university noted that KazNU is the only university in Kazakhstan and Central Asia, which is among the top 200 best universities in the world. More than 100 foreign professors and scientists from 30 countries of the world teach at the university. It should also be noted that in the past 2022, a branch of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University was opened in Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan) and Istanbul (Turkey). Every year, the vector of cooperation between KazNU and universities in Central Asia is expanding and more than 30 agreements have been signed to date. Of these, 12 are with universities of the Kyrgyz Republic.

During the meeting, the parties discussed further cooperation on educational programs, the development of academic mobility and the exchange of experience.
