The presentation of the series of books "Gibratty Gumyr" dedicated to the life and work of the Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, the holder of the orders "Barys" and "Parasat", First class, a research scientist, winner of the independent award "Tarlan", poet Shomishbai Sariyev took place at the al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The book contains scientific studies of the poet, popular lyrics, poems. There are also photos of colleagues and family members.

The head of the university, Zhanseit Tuimebayev, made a welcoming speech, focusing on the most significant milestones of Shomishbai Nagashybaevich's life path."Shomishbai Sariyev, who left a special mark in Kazakh poetry, literary studies, he was a graduate of our university. In 1966, he entered the Faculty of Journalism of KazGU, from which he graduated in 1971. He worked as an editor in the publishing house "Kazakhstan", head of the department in the magazine "Zhuldyz", senior researcher at the M. Auezov Institute of Literature and Art. Being not only a poet, but also a scientist, Shomishbai Sariyev analyzed the work of Kazakh poets of the 50s, 60s, 70s. He also conducted research on a new stage in the development of Kazakh poetry during the independence period. We know that in the literary environment Shomishbai Sariev was called "Kazakh Pushkin". His poems turned into songs and reached the very heart of the people. During his life, he wrote lyrics for more than 300 songs and enriched the national song art," Zhanseit Tuimebayev stated.
