SIGNED MEMORANDUM WITH UNIVERSITIES OF TURKMENISTAN

Today, the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University signed bilateral memorandums of mutually beneficial cooperation with the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the State University named after Makhtumkuly of this country.

The online signing ceremony, which took place within the framework of the state visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev to Turkmenistan, was attended by the Chairman of the Board - Rector of Al-Farabi KazNU Zhanseit Tuymebayev, rector of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Zhumamyrat Gurbangeldyev and rector of the Turkmen State University named after Makhtumkula Bayramgul Orazdurdyev.

The memorandums concluded within the framework of cooperation laid the foundation for cooperation in the humanitarian, technical, and social fields, including in the field of international relations and regional studies, international law, world economy and international journalism. The parties agreed to cooperate on joint research work, exchange of teachers and scientists, organization of refresher courses and lectures, implementation of educational programs, including double diploma.

Congratulating colleagues, the head of the educational institution Zhanseit Tuymebayev noted that this event marked the beginning of great joint work for both parties. In conclusion, the rector invited the head of the Institute of International Relations to pay an official visit to KazNU.

The program documents also provide for the exchange of experience in the development of the digital education system, attracting the best scientists for scientific leadership, conducting online and offline seminars, round tables, conferences using information technologies, joint participation in grants initiated by state, international, public and private foundations and organizations, publication of articles, reports and other scientific works in periodicals of partner universities.

It should be noted that at present more than 400 students from Turkmenistan are studying within the walls of KazNU.
