Yesterday, during a working trip, I visited schools and universities in the city of Almaty. I met with teachers, school directors, rectors of universities subordinate to the Ministry of Education and Science and heads of research institutes.

During my visit to the school, I got acquainted with the work of the security system - the presence of video surveillance cameras, panic buttons, turnstiles, etc.

Heads of schools, colleges and universities, akimats and the ministry need to strengthen their efforts to improve the protection of our children. Recent tragic events show the urgency and importance of the issue. Of course, in addition to these measures, it is necessary to carry out educational work. The work of psychologists and social educators is important, as well as the awareness of children about actions in force majeure.

During the meeting with school principals, issues of certification, rotation of leaders, and organization of methodological work were also discussed.

Separately, we dwelled on how the instructions of the President, noted in the framework of the Address, will be implemented in practice. School directors voiced many interesting proposals and ideas that we will take into account in our future work.

In general, talking with teachers and school principals, I noted for myself that the content of the questions has changed compared to those they asked, for example, a year ago, and this makes me happy. Because many of the issues that were on the agenda last year have already been resolved.

Now the topics discussed are more related to the content of curricula, interaction with parents, educational work.

Discussing the return to the traditional format, educators reported that, in general, the incidence rate of the total number of students is much lower than the incidence rate of those who apply for distance learning. And the overwhelming majority of schoolchildren and parents are happy with offline learning. Since this has a positive effect on the quality of education, on the emotional state of children and their health.

Colleagues spoke about the work carried out to replenish the students' knowledge. We also talked about the effectiveness and benefits of introducing per capita financing in schools. Thanks to this system, schools received more financial resources, greater financial independence, there was a motivation to save and redistribute funds, respectively, to spend finances more efficiently and solve the most important problems.

Examined the school library, which has undergone modernization. It is noticeable that for the implementation of the Reading School project, the library fund of the school library was replenished with fiction.

In addition, he visited the KazNPU them. Abay. Held a meeting with rectors of universities subordinate to the ministry. As a result, he gave a number of instructions regarding both the safety of students and the construction, reconstruction of hostels, as well as the educational process.

I met with directors of research institutes. We discussed with colleagues new amendments to the legislation on science, which will be introduced in the framework of the Address of the Head of State. The increase in the terms of funding for scientific grants, the introduction of direct funding for institutions engaged in basic research, the expansion of basic funding and other very important changes that scientists have long been talking about in their speeches.

All proposals and questions voiced during the meetings were taken into account, and appropriate work will be carried out on all of them.

In conclusion, he took part in the "Teacher of Kazakhstan" award ceremony and congratulated colleagues on the upcoming professional holiday.
