COOPERATION WITH RUSSIAN UNIVERSITIES WILL EXPAND

A meeting of the Chairman of the Board - Rector Zhanseit Tuimebayev with representatives of Russian universities - Izhevsk State Technical University (ISTU) and Novosibirsk State University (NSU) was held at Al-Farabi KazNU. The parties discussed the prospects for cooperation and implementation of joint projects in the field of education and science.

 

 

Cooperation with leading Russian universities for KazNU is one of the promising areas, thanks to which large-scale joint projects are being implemented. The leading university in the country pays close attention to this area.

 

Welcoming the honored guests, the rector of KazNU thanked for the visit and expressed confidence that the meeting will bring real results to the interested parties. Zhanseit Kanseitovich emphasized the importance of long-standing and strong relations between the university and leading Russian universities. In his speech, he spoke about the achievements of KazNU, which was highly appreciated and became the first and only university in the Central Asian region to receive "5 stars" of excellence in the international rating "QS Stars Rating System". It was noted that 195 cooperation agreements were signed between KazNU and 140 universities of the Russian Federation, and this positively influenced the implementation of many joint projects between universities of the two countries.

 

In turn, the meeting participants - acting Rector of Izhevsk State Technical University A.V. Hubert, Director of the Institute of International Educational Programs of ISTU A.V. Ryabchikov, as well as Head of the Department of Education Export of Novosibirsk State University E.I.Sagaydak - thanked the Rector of KazNU for the warm welcome and expressed confidence that in in the future, both sides will work closely together. Within the framework of the meeting, an exchange of views and discussion of topical issues took place, as well as the definition of further plans and prospects for mutually beneficial relations. It should be noted that Novosibirsk State University is one of the national research universities in Russia, which is one of the participants in the 5-100 Project, a program to improve the international competitiveness of Russian universities among the world's leading research and educational centers. Izhevsk State Technical University (ISTU) is one of the most prestigious universities in Russia.

 

After discussing the organization of joint research laboratories, seminars and conferences in the field of science and innovation, the parties expressed interest in exporting education. It was noted that today, the universities of the two countries are successfully implementing a program of academic mobility, various projects for joint training of specialists, etc. In addition, KazNU and Russian universities actively participate in TEMPUS / Erasmus + projects and implement double degree master's programs.

In conclusion, the participants of the meeting thanked the leadership of KazNU. Al-Farabi, expressing readiness to promote the development and increase the pace of cooperation between universities, contributing to the implementation of joint educational programs and projects.
