Olympiad has been organized by Head of chemistry department of the West-Kazakhstan State University, professor Dina Mendalieva and the graduate of faculty Ruslan Yermagambetov. 47 pupils participated in Olympiad, from them 33 have passed on the second round which was spent on February, 4^th. On results of Olympiad of 7 schoolboys were awarded diplomas, the books published in KazNU and letters of thanks.

Such Olympiad is traditionally annually spent in Uralsk. On November, 5th, 2005 in the West-Kazakhstan area in the city of Uralsk the branch of chemical faculty of KazNU has been opened on the basis of faculty of chemistry and chemical technology of the Zhangir Khan West-Kazakhstan agrarian-technical university under managing of professor Dina Mendalieva. Since September, 2006 the correspondence school of chemists under managing of the graduate of 2005 KazNU Yermagambetov Ruslan has been opened at school 36 of Uralsk.
