Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted an on-line student Olympiad on the subject «Legal framework for combating corruption», which was attended by students of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan and foreign countries.

The organizer was the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law, Faculty of Law, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, The event was conducted jointly with the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Combating Corruption and the Republican Project Office Sanaly Urpaq.

The International Olympiad was attended by 149 university students who underwent special training in accordance with the approved requirements, which were sent in advance to both foreign and Kazakhstani universities.

The competition commission created to verify the results of the Olympics included the heads and representatives of the department of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the city of Almaty, the republican project office of Sanaly Urpaq, the Public Council for Combating Corruption at the Department of Justice of Almaty.

The jury evaluated videos of scientific projects on the topic “Formation and development of integrity principles as the basis of anti-corruption” and on-line testing. Particular attention was paid to the relevance of the material presented - the form and quality, scientific novelty, specifics, creativity of the project and practical significance.

According to the results of the Olympiad, the best students were awarded: first degree diplomas were given to Berzhan Almat (Al-Farabi KazNU), second degree - Abdurakhman Batukhan and Orakbaev Erpolat(L.T. Gumilyov Eurasian National University); III degrees - Dosnazarova Aigul (Karadalpak State University named after Berdakh) and Myrzashov Merey (Abylay Khan KazUMOiMYa); ІІІ degrees - Tuleu Islam (Kostanay Socio-Technical University named after Academician Z. Aldamzhar).

“Corruption is an international problem that is being fought in all countries of the world. In order to cope with this issue of society, it is necessary, first of all, to change the human nature in which its origins are rooted. We can correct the situation by educating the younger generation of such qualities as honesty, morality and integrity.
