Al-Farabi KazNU with cooperation with the Chinese Academy of Sciences will create a Scientific and Educational Center with investment from China. This became known during the negotiations of academicians of the PRC with the First Vice-Rector of KazNU, academician Mukhambetkali Burkitbaev.

During the meeting, the scientists discussed issues of further collaboration with the Center of Medicinal Plants of the University, and determined the date of opening of the Scientific and Educational Center. The parties also agreed to hold an International Conference with participation of the world's leading scientists in the field of Chemistry of Natural Compounds.

After the meeting with the University management, members of the Chinese delegation visited the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology, where Academician Yue Jian-Min gave a lecture to the Faculty students and teachers on «Chemistry and Bioactivity of Natural Products from Medicinal Plants».
