On September, 15th, 2010 at 12:30 on chair Korean Studies Faculty of Oriental Studies open lecture of the invited professor Ph.D Shin-pyo KANG from Inje University, Academy of Humanities and Social Sciences, Professor Emeritus of Anthropology and Sociology.

Lecture theme: «Korean Studies as a science: history and the present». The professor has told about the basic advantages of cooperation of strategic partners of Republic Kazakhstan and Republic Korea, about a role of presidents of our countries.

The basic thread of all lecture the idea about importance of a scientific direction "Korean Studies" has sounded. The professor has shown history of origin and development stages Korean Studies as sciences.

Students, undergraduates and teachers of the Korean branch with interest listened, there were many questions. Students have shown separate interest to possibility to continue training on a specialty " Korean Studies " at the Korean universities, and also to questions of Development of "Kazakhstan Studies " in South Korea.
