The International Day of UN Peacekeepers was proclaimed by the General Assembly on May 29 in 2002. The international community recognizes that this activity is important in strengthening peace and security in modern realities. Now this day can be considered as a tribute to the memory of the deceased and a sign of respect for the people who served in the United Nations, who leave their forces and lives in the struggle for peace. This day symbolizes self-sacrifice and selfless devotion to peacekeepers.

The round table will be attended by students, young scientists, as well as representatives of the faculty of KazNU and other universities of Almaty.
