October 22-27, 2017 in the Scientific Library “al-Farabi” the Kazakh-Pakistan binational capacity building workshop “Developing the capacities of Al-Faabi Kazakh National University, Kazakhstan in phytochemical development” was held. The seminar was organized by the Department of Chemistry and Technology of Organic Substances, Natural Compounds and Polymers of the al-Farabi KazNU and the International Center for Biological and Chemical Sciences of the University of Karachi. The seminar was sponsored by the Islamic Development Bank and the Scientific Foundation of the Economic Cooperation Organization. The seminar was attended by the staff of the International Center for Biological and Chemical Sciences of the University of Karachi, headed by the director Dr. Iqbal Choudhary. Within the framework of the scientific project financed by the Islamic Development Bank, modern equipment and devices will be purchased for the department.
