On March 30-31, the Faculty of History, Archeology and Ethnology held the final stage of the republican Olympiad on World History and History of Kazakhstan among pupils of 10-11 grades. To participate in the final round of the Olympiad, 36 participants from all over the country were invited.

The participants of the Olympiad were accommodated in the dormitory No. 10.

March 30-31 for schoolchildren was organized a series of events, which included not only the scientific and educational sphere, but also entertainment.

At the opening of the Olympiad for the participants were read two leadership lectures from the leading professors of the faculty (Toleubaev AT, Karibaev BB). After the opening for the participants of the Olympiad, an excursion was conducted on the campus of the KazNU. Al-Farabi. In the evening of the same day, the students of the faculty organized a concert program for future entrants.

On March 31, the closing of the Olympiad and the awarding of participants took place, in which the faculty's teaching and pedagogical staff took part. After the closure, the organizing committee of the Olympiad organized for the students an excursion around the city of Almaty, the route of which included: First President's Park, Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Medeo. The participants were satisfied with the holding of the Olympiad.
