Visit of Professor of the School of Geography and Environment of Dr. Troy Sternberg (University of Oxford) 

 Visit of Dr. T. Sternberg to the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Science.

At the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Science of Al-Faraby Kazakh National University, a working meeting was held between professor of the School of Geography and the Environment Dr. Troy Sternberg (Oxford University) and the Director of the Aitmatov Academy, Dr. Rakhima Abduvalieva (Great Britain).

The guests discussed with the scientists and faculty research topics and opportunities for collaboration.

Dr. Troy Sternberg and Dr. Rahima Abduvalieva suggested that the Faculty scientists take part in an international conference on geography and ecology at the University of Oxford in Great Britain in June 2017.

The visit was initiated by the Department of Recreational Geography and Tourism.
