At the end of the year the trade Union of «Parasat» workers КазНУим.аль-Farabi summed up the results of contest «Best in profession» among the support staff of the University. The award was decided to hold in an informal setting for a Cup of tea brought together 120 people.
Chairman of trade Union of «Parasat» employees of al-Farabi Т.К.Мекебаев told the audience that the contest «Best in profession» was held at the University for the second time. Its purpose was to reveal the best employees of the Treasury. Last year the competition took off, " said Talgat Кумаргалиевич, and now becomes traditional. Its role in the life of the University grows. For example, during the evaluation of the SGP was taken into account, if a person became the winner of competition».
On playgrounds KazNU from 8 to 16 January 2014 held the competition teams of faculties and departments in the program of the 42nd Olympics traditional "Health" , dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the university and the 20th anniversary of the union "Parasat" among professors faculty, staff and doctoral students in eight sports: badminton, volleyball (men and women ) , darts, togyzkumalak , chess , mini football , table tennis. The competition was attended by 17 teams of faculties and departments , which amounted to 814 people .

In Science and Technological Park of al-Farabi Kazakh National University in the contest held an organizational meeting of the Joint Organizing Committee (COS ) projects «2nd National Competition students Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan» and «First Kazakh Forum educational entrepreneurial engineering STEM (STEAM)- technology» (Special Event Special EducationSummit - 2014 , Kazakhstan).
