In 30.09.2013 the teachers of the Department in honor of the languages ​​of the people of Kazakhstan organized a literary and musical event on the theme " Бірлік іргетасы – тіл". At the event were invited students of all faculties of the university.

11-13 September 2013 in the Republic of Belarus was held XXVI Congress of the Eurasian Association of Universities of trade union organizations . The congress was attended 61 delegates from 40 universities of Armenia, Belarus , Kazakhstan , Kyrgyzstan, Russia , Ukraine and the Dnestr Moldavian Republic, representing 46 trade union organizations of employees or students.

25 of September, 2013 by the suggestion of general and ethnic pedagogy department of the philosophy and political sciences faculty of Al-Farabi KazNU held republic round table with international attendance on the theme "Strategic achievements of education sphere and Kazakhstan's educative reforms practice".

On September 25, 2013 at 16.00 o'clock in 312 room of faculty of philology, literary and world languages cultural and leisure event was «Ана тілім – ардағым!» at the level of faculty in honor of a holiday "Day of Languages of the people of Kazakhstan".

On September 17, 2013 Students’ a preliminary selection of innovative business projects held in Science and Technology for possible support to the Mayor of the city and the various departments.

On the 12^th of September 2013 visit of the German Parliament Delegation (Bundestag) opened traditional “Ambassadorial hour at the Faculty of International Relations”. An active international activity of the faculty has started. The students and professors have met the distinguished guests: Deputy Christoph Poland, First Counsellor Dr. Randolph Krüger, Prof. Dr.Hans-Ulrich Heiß, Vice-rector of Berlin Technical University. The delegation was accompanied by Raban Richter, the Consul of the FRG for Culture, Economy and Media. Susanne Becker, Deputy Head of Language Department of the Goethe-Institute and Dr. Gulsym Masakova, Head of Central Asia and Kazakhstan Studies Department of the Gumboldt University have taken part in the discussion as well.

In 16 - 28 September, 2013 Koleva Irina (Bulgaria), doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor of Sofia University "S. Kliment Ohridski", adviser to the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of the Republic of Bulgaria, the head of the scientific school "Ethno-psycho-pedagogy", conducted lectures in the faculty of philosophy and political sciences of Al-Farabi KazNU. Author's courses were titled "Ethno-pedagogical and ethno-psychological model of educational interaction", "Ethno-psycho-pedagogy of educational interaction."

Johannes Rau – a professor of the Academy of Leading Сadres of the Bundeswehr (Berlin, Germany) lectured on the theme: "The political and economic aspects of international security".

On September 13^th Science and Technology Park presented the work of the new innovative company named WakeUp. The company deals with developing and marketing of innovative business projects.

On 11^th of September in Science and Technology Park of al-Farabi Kazakh National Universit was held a round table on the topic "Creating a start-up companies" which focused on the procedures for opening new student start-up companies. Terms of business incubation were also discussed.

KAZINFORM According to the Times Higher Education - QS World University Rankings (Great Britain), a recognized authority in the field of evaluation of quality indicators of the development of universities, the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi (KazNU) took 299th place among the world's 800 best universities.

The current academic year has begun for freshmen in a good mood. More than two hundred students were entercol to the Physics and Engineering Department, including to the department "Thermal Physics and Technical Physics" were made more than two hundred students.
