From May 27 to June 1, 2013 Al-Farabi Kazakh National University was visited by the first vice-rector of Polytechnic University of Valencia, Mr. Juan Miguel Martínez Rubio.

Al-Farabi Kazak National University and the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics of The School of Engineering, The University of Tokyo started joint project of nano-satellite (about 5kg) development for technology demonstration and Earth observation mission. The figure below shows the image of the inside of the satellite to be developed which is planned to be launched in 2014-2015.

Besides, the attention is paid to the compliance of an educational program to basic principles of the Global Code of Ethics for Tourism aimed at sustainable development.
