SDG 15 -restoration and rational use of forest resources.

On February 15, 3rd year students of the specialty Geodesy and cartography held an educational hour on the topic "Restoration and rational use of forest resources".

Forest resources play a key role in the ecosystem of the planet and offer humanity many benefits and services. However, unjustified tree felling, unregulated logging and negligent farming practices lead to forest degradation. In order to preserve forest resources and ensure their sustainable use, forest restoration and rational management are necessary.

The first step to restoring forest resources is to assess the state of forests and identify sources of degradation. This may include an analysis of the extent of logging, an assessment of fire hazards, as well as studying the impact of human activities and climate change on forest ecosystems.

An important aspect of the rational use of forest resources is also the support of sustainable forestry practices, including the introduction of a forest certification system that ensures control over forestry and supports the principles of sustainable development.

Thus, the restoration and rational use of forest resources are key components of preserving biodiversity, improving environmental quality and ensuring sustainable development of human society. By taking appropriate measures and developing effective strategies, forests can be preserved for future generations.
