Rules of action in case of an earthquake

 

On January 25, the curator-adviser K.K. Augambayev, together with the students, held an open lesson on the rules of action in case of earthquake with students of the specialty natural and man-made risks.

 
Step-by-step procedure for training with students

 
Introduction to Earthquakes:

  1. A brief explanation of the earthquake phenomenon, how it occurs and what consequences it may have.Familiarization with the most active earthquake-prone areas on the planet.
  2. Basic safety rules:
  3. "Three main racks" (decrepit furniture, fallen equipment, collapsing buildings).Rules of conduct during an earthquake indoors and outdoors.

 

 

Preparing for an earthquake:

  1. The importance of creating a family evacuation plan and installing an emergency bag with necessary supplies.
  2. Items and materials that should be on hand to prevent injury and provide first aid.

 

  

Safety in buildings:

  1. Overview of safe and dangerous places inside buildings during an earthquake.Defense strategies such as covering your head with your hands and seeking shelter.Emergency switches and equipment:
  2. The basic rules for shutting off gas, water and electricity, as well as how to use them if necessary.

Practical exercises:

  1. Educational simulations so that students can practice performing evacuation and first aid procedures.
  2. Training exercises in finding safe places and creating shelters.
